Pick a Location
Nearly all our ocean tables are custom jobs. We start with the location the customer wants the table to replicate. If you are ordering a custom ocean table, you can choose any location you want. As long as we can find a clear image of it on Google Earth, we can make it into a table. We do our best to find a piece of wood that naturally mimics the shape of the coastline, but we also CNC machine the wood to match the location precisely. Next, we add sand and resin to recreate the coastline realistically.
What’s the Weather?
As anyone who has been to a beach knows, the weather completely changes the character of the coastline. On a clear day, the waves are blue and calming. On a stormy day, the water takes on a grayish hue and feels dangerous. We can recreate the effect of either weather condition or something in between.
Finishing Touches
Once we’ve finished turning your favorite bit of coastline into a table, we add the finishing touches that make it uniquely yours. The obvious choice is to engrave the wood with the name of the place, but there are plenty of other options. Your name and the date you first visited the place turn a piece of furniture into a memento. If you prefer a minimalist approach, the location’s coordinates are the perfect finishing touch.
